I know there is a social change in the media where ‘big is the new beautiful’ but I would really appreciate it if people didn’t say ‘oh you are too skinny, get a bit of meat on you’, when in fact, I am scientifically the perfect weight for someone my height and age.
I don’t think people understand the difference between eating healthy and dieting… I am a naturally slim person… Always have been but recently I have been putting on more weight, getting tired but not been able to sleep as I have reached my early 20’s… That’s just nature…. It’s bound to happen with the amount of indian takeaways and Chinese I eat!
For the past two weeks I have been healthy eating… Checking what I eat, eating a portion rather than three portions… Because of this people think I being stupid.
Because I am eating healthy,
Filling up in salad so I don’t pig out on the chilli con carny which got me into this mess…
I still eat.
And it isn’t a diet… However it is a change in my diet…. A healthy change…
Stop telling me I am stupid for ‘dieting’ when I know that I am actually the clever one for taking charge of looking after my body whilst you are eating unhealthy fast food complaining you are over weight.
It’s my choice, and in all honesty I feel amazing… And even my family are feeling better because I am not dragging them to fast food joints!
Thank you for listening to my horrific rant. And just so I am clear, I think everyone is entitled to the body they are comfortable with, whether that big or small… Just don’t make other people feel bad if you are insecure about yours… Make a difference in your life and control yourself by having a healthy balanced diet! :D
